Raiders battled to a 3-1 victory to make it four in four at Sixways in a game full of expert finishing – an unlikely Screamer from the Carey being the highlight.
Bassett had the best of the opening exchanges, after seven minutes Young had to get down well to stop Presley finding the net after finding himself one on one.
It was end to end to begin with as a minute later Raiders were up the other end and Cooper drilled an effort just wide of the right hand post after some great work down the left.
The team hosting however had to wait thirteen minutes for another major chance, a scramble at a corner left the ball bouncing around and off a Raiders player and just the wrong side of the bar and onto the roof of the net – the first of three great chances before the opener on the 27th minute.
It would be an unlikely goal scorer to open Raiders account when out of seemingly nowhere Sam Carey smashed an effort into the top right corner of Crowther’s net – a clear goal of the season contender.
There must have been a competition in the team for the best goal on the night as Ferron hit a long-range effort that just went the wrong side of the bar six minutes before half time.
On the other side of the break Raiders doubled their lead on the 50th minute and it would be two in two for Jordan Murphy as he expertly curled the ball into Crowther’s bottom left corner.
Royal Wootton Bassett Town hit an instant response, however, as the away side halved the advantage with a great finish from Bailey Gallagher into Young's bottom right corner on the 53rd minute mark.
Jade Ferron had one of a few chances for himself to extend the lead on the 63rd minute as he found himself in some space but blazed over.
Ferron had another major chance ten minutes later after a brilliant ball from the right landed perfectly on his head, but Crowther was down well to his right to smother.
Another wonderful strike followed with fourteen to go as Raiders had a free kick and Cooper bent it round the wall to perfection and Crowther couldn’t do enough to stop it looping in the corner.
Raiders grinded out the victory to make it four wins in four and will now look to translate the home form away from Sixways as they travel to Brimscombe and Thrupp on Saturday.
